On this day: Steve Austin ensures he’ll get a chance at revenge on Owen Hart for breaking his neck at SummerSlam and costing him the IC Title by blasting Faarooq with the belt, allowing Owen to score the fall and win the vacant Intercontinental Championship. (10/5/97)

On this day: After being denied a Title shot by HHH earlier in the night, Steve Austin interrupts The Game’s defense of the WWF Title against hand-chosen opponent Mr. McMahon and takes out both Helmsley and Chyna with Stunners. Stone Cold then lies a bloodied Chairman atop HHH, allowing Shane McMahon to count three and Vince McMahon to win the WWF Championship. (9/16/99)

This Day in WCW History: The months-long feud between “Stunning” Steve Austin and Ricky Steamboat culminates in a match where after numerous near falls, Steamboat counters a body slam attempt into a small package that earns him the three-count and his fourth U.S. Heavyweight Championship at Clash of the Champions XXVIII.

On this day: The Undertaker finally offers a tag to his SummerSlam opponent & WWF Champion Steve Austin against Undertaker’s half-brother Kane and Mankind, which leads to both receiving Chokeslams before a Tombstone Piledriver to Kane wins the dysfunctional duo the WWF Tag Team Title. (7/26/98)

On this day: Stone Cold opts to face Owen Hart & British Bulldog alone for the Tag Team Title that Austin’s partner Shawn Michaels vacated his half of a month prior, only to be met with Mick Foley’s latest alter ego Dude Love, whom pins Bulldog after a Stunner by Austin to give the unlikely duo the WWF Tag Team Championship. On this day: One night after being screwed out of his CEO position by the McMahons, Stone Cold reveals that he awarded himself a future WWF Title shot, which he uses in the main event where he defeats The Undertaker to win his fourth WWF Championship. (6/28/99)
