On this day: Sting and Vader’s 1993 World Title rivalry crosses over into Sting’s International World Title match with Rick Rude, ending when Vader’s manager Harley Race accidentally nails Rude with a steel chair meant for Sting, allowing the Stinger to score the pin and win his first WCW International World Heavyweight Championship. On this day: After multiple warnings, NWA World Champion Sting is finally disqualified for striking the official, causing the longtime TNA rule that a Title can change hands via DQ to come into play, netting Abyss his first NWA World Heavyweight Championship. (11/19/06)

On this day: The latest member of The Main Event Mafia is revealed when Kevin Nash strikes his friend Samoa Joe with Sting’s bat, gaining revenge on Joe for his scathing comments about Scott Hall a year prior and allowing Sting to win the TNA World Title. (10/12/08)

On this day: Weeks of Lex Luger trying to convince Sting that Hulk Hogan’s change back to the Red & Yellow was disingenuous ends at Fall Brawl, where Sting attacks Hogan with a baseball bat and locks in the Scorpion Death Lock to win his 6th WCW World Title. (9/12/99)

On this day: After Sting’s head hits the turnbuckle pole on a big Stinger Splash, Vader capitalizes on the dazed Sting and hits a massive power bomb before getting the pinfall to win his first WCW World Heavyweight Championship. (7/12/92)

On this day: The NWA severs ties with TNA on the day of Sacrifice, leading to the NWA World Title match between Christian (c), Kurt Angle and Sting deciding the first TNA World Heavyweight Champion. In the match, Kurt Angle makes Sting submit to the Ankle Lock at the same time that Christian is pinned by Sting. Kurt Angle is ultimately ruled the winner and first TNA World Champion. (5/13/07)
